Swung by Prairie Motor Cars in Davenport over the weekend since a few people here asked about them. They keep around 58 vehicles, mostly import cars. Heads up: they don't let cars leave for an inspection, so bring your OBD reader and a flashlight.
Lot address: 4432 Commerce Ave, Davenport, IA. Visitor parking: Front-lot customer stalls facing the office; overflow on the side street near Davenport lot gate.
Paper side: licensed with the state (looked it up), about 93% of stock has title in hand per the office, and they offer a 6-month powertrain warranty on newer units.
Overall: good people to deal with. 14 years in business around import cars, doc fee $399 and it's on the window sheet, no games. I'd send a family member there.
